About me, Patrik

I am detail oriented down to the last pixel, and at the same time make sure that I have a great holistic perspective of a project. I’m used to work with all areas of the design process, and I enjoy every part of it. My team members see me as an optimistic, organised, and curious team player who encourages the team to believe that communication, collaboration, and having fun is a good way to reach the goal.

My heart skips a beat when I — spend time with friends and family — play video games — listen to, and create music — cook, and (even more) eat food — discover the world — visit the gym — eat ice cream — watch series. It’s all about keeping a balance. ^_^

2019—
Visual Product Designer
Bonnier News

At Bonnier News I work at the Swedish financial newspaper, Dagens industri, where my colleagues and I design and develop our website and app. Currently we work on our design system. I'm also one of the founders of Dagens industri's design council, the council represents designers from all our departments, and together we develop the brand of Dagens industri.

2019
Design Lead &
Senior Product Designer
Jayway

At Jayway I led and designed concepts, UX, UI and visuals for a wide range of projects including apps and animations. Together with the other design leads, leading other Jayway offices, I led and developed the design process of the company. I arranged weekly Friday morning sessions with the designers in the Stockholm office to encourage them feedback culture, share their knowledge, and discover and discuss different topics regarding design.

2018—2019
Senior UX/UI Designer
Forefront Consulting

At Forefront I led and designed branding, concepts, UX, UI and visuals for a wide range of projects including apps, and e-commerce websites. Since I worked at several clients' offices and led teams, I learned to not only celebrate success but also failure. And that emojis and GIFs makes a team and stakeholders happier and stronger. 😄

Heeey! What are you up to?

2016—2017
Senior Visual Designer
Thinkable

2016—2017
Senior Visual Designer
Thinkable

At Thinkable I developed and designed concepts, UX, UI and visuals for a wide range of projects including apps, ticket machines and e-commerce websites.
As part of the design team I developed our work with research and testing of new software, file structures, and design systems. I learned how to design for different kinds of (from small to very big) screens/units, and the importance with design systems and libraries for everyone involved with a project.

2008—2016
Art Director
Matador

As an Art Director at Matador I led and developed concepts, brand identities, UI, UX, and creative work for clients within the public information, life science and B2B sectors whom worked towards the local, national and/or international area.
I held lectures in corporate identity for start-up companies within the Uppsala Innovation Centre’s programmes (one of Sweden’s leading business incubators). I educated several clients in how to implement data with design software and to work with design software. I was also responsible for accessibility in web design, PDF and print design.
I learned how to lead and develop teams, to work with campaigns and identities through multiple channels, and that great collaborations with all parts of a team is fundamental to succeed with a project.

2007
Student in Tokyo 🇯🇵

Took the opportunity to take a break from everyday life and went to Tokyo, Japan to study Japanese for a year. A wonderful year that gave me new perspectives, and the understanding of how different we humans see things.

2004—2006
Graphic Designer
Matador

The first years at Matador I designed print material, campaigns, corporate identities for local and national clients within the public information and B2B sectors. I was responsible for the technical development in the company and developed working methods and file structure to facilitate everyone’s work at Matador. I learned what possibilities and challenges big organisations and companies bring and how my curiosity made my clients move forward.

2003—2004
Back Up Consultant
Proffice
(Today: Randstad)

As a back up consultant I was hired by over 30 companies to fill in wherever reception and switchboard staff was needed. I had the opportunity to meet many different clients (and their clients) and thanks to that I learned how to manage different personalities and how to adapt quickly to new situations and new organisations.

1999—2003
Desktop Publisher
Semantix INK

I prepared original layout documents/templates for language localisation and finalised translated material. I developed and organised the desktop publisher department. 2001–2003, while studying graphic design, I continued to develop the DTP department’s offer, and designed INK’s website. At Semantix INK I learned how important it is with templates, structured and organised work.

I am a belly dance (ATS) performer.

I believe GIF:s makes the world a better place (guess you've already figured that out by now).
I love to play, and arrange music quiz.
During summertime you'll find me float in the sea, pretty much every morning.
